Our fraternities and sororities have been creative throughout COVID-19 and have continued to reinvent themselves and find new ways to build brotherhood and sisterhood. This year, our organizations have performed over 400 hours of community service, and have raised over $13,500 for their various philanthropy efforts, as well as Dance Marathon and the Order of Omega scholarship. While these numbers are lower than normal due to COVID-19, we know that our students are making an impact in our local and national communities.
The Fraternity and Sorority Life team has created set of goals for all fraternities and sororities on this campus, called the Standards of Excellence. Based on the values of our community, these standards are areas in which every organization wishes to excel. The individual chapters submit their participation and achievements in the following categories on a monthly basis to achieve Standards of Excellence Awards. These awards are given out on a point system developed specifically for each standard.
All fraternities and sororities must have a minimum cumulative, semester, and new member GPA of 2.5. 2.5 is the minimum acceptable before academic probation.
