Student VS. Staff/Faculty Basketball Game

Monday, Feb. 5 at 7:00pm // Dugan Gym

The Student vs. Faculty/Staff Basketball game has been a Homecoming tradition for years. It is a fun and exciting way to get students involved with the professional members of the university. During halftime, the Homecoming court will be announced and the Spirit Team will perform. This is a must-see, entertaining, and competitive experience that you won't want to miss.

Block Party Activity Contest

Saturday, Feb. 10 at 4:00pm // American Bank Center Parking Lot

Your department or student group can help TAMU-CC celebrate the Big Games at the official Homecoming Block Party by hosting a game or activity that is fun for the whole family! Winners will receive a $150 Chartwell's Catering Credit

Homecoming Window and Door Decoration

Door Decoration:

Faculty and staff can register via Orgsync and decorate their main entrance door. Extra points will be given for decorating their office. Judges score based on Islander spirit, homecoming theme and rivalry. 1st place wins $150, 2nd place wins $100 and 3rd place wins $50 from Chart wells catering food. Sign up HERE.

  

Window decoration:

Student Organizations can register via Orgsync to participate in the spirit competition. Judges score based on Islander spirit, homecoming theme and rivalry. There is a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, points are added to the spirit competition.

Deans cup:

College’s deans can also participate in the Homecoming door decoration competition. They will receive an e-mail from UCP and they can register by replying the e-mail. There will be a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. The winners receive a UCP islander trophy and bragging rights for one year.

Homecoming Spirit Competition

Student organizations compete in events and attend events throughout the week leading up to the Homecoming Game to earn points. The team with the most points at the end of the week wins a catering incentive for their organization. Rules and details for this year's event can be found on OrgSync HERE.  Register your group to participate by 11:59pm on January 31, 2018.

SGA Penny Wars

Penny Wars is a Student Government Sponsored Event. All money collected will be donated to the Hector P. Garcia Scholarship Fund.  For any student organization who would like to participate, we will create a bucket where any monetary donations made for your organization will be placed. This is a great opportunity to market your organization and help raise money for a good cause. Friday Fiesta Student Org Booth

For any student organization who would like to participate, we will reserve a table where you can have activities, props, prizes, and games. Medalion Hunt Kickoff:

Each year Spirit Competition teams take part in the campus wide hunt for the Homecoming Medallions. Throughout the week leading up to the Homecoming Game, students are given various clues to the locations of the medallions. At this event, we kickoff the hunt and release the first clue.

 

Medalion Hunt Finale:

Each year Spirit Competition teams take part in the campus wide hunt for the Homecoming Medallions. Throughout the week leading up to the Homecoming Game, students are given various clues to the locations of the medallions. At this event, student organizations compete in fun games to win clues to the final medallion.
